Ramaphosa tries to collapse ANC elective conference in a Desperate move

Amidst the twists and turns going on in the ANC Elective Conference, reports are coming that the Cyril Ramaphosa (CR) faction is trying to collapse the 54th African National Congress (ANC) elective conference. As per reports published on the Black Opinion Website, this could be termed as a move out of frustration by the CR17 camp after seeing the verdict going into Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma (NDZ) favor. The report further claims that the CR17 lobby is in a panic. It is trying to delay the conference as far as possible and collapse it. The writing is on the wall. The NDZ train has the numbers.

It’s been further quoted citing the reference from the sources who are inside the CR17 faction, that a three split strategy has been drawn to deprive NDZ of a victory. The report further claims that the intention were to first interrupt on the proceedings while offering money to the NDZ delegates; and then to convince the chairpersons of five provinces to agree to collapsing the conference. These are the pre-requisites to call a conference off in terms of the constitution. As per the current status quo, Northern Cape, Western Cape, Eastern Cape, and Gauteng have agreed and they are now trying to get Limpopo in, which is refusing. They then planned to go to court and bar the conference.

Moreover, if reports were to believed, lawyers have prepared the court papers and Judge Dunstan Mlambo is busy planning along with the CR17 faction to support the collapsing of the conference through the court. As per the sources, Johann Rupert and the Oppenheimer family are financing the ploy. Also Bidvest, which got financial connections with Cyril Ramaphosa and Pravin Gordhan is said to be bribing delegates with money and accommodation at luxurious hotels.

This can certainly quote that the Ramaphosa lobby is getting desperate to go any means possible to claim victory and such types of dirty tactics shall be stopped with immediate effect.
